Impact of our scholarship program
Our students tell their own stories: what a scholarship has meant for their education, their families and their dreams.

The financial burden of secondary education can be overwhelming for many students and their families.
That is why ROF offers primary and high school scholarships, enabling students to pursue their academic and career dreams. We believe that by investing in their education and career development, we help them become responsible and productive members of society.
We regularly share our students’ stories to show the impact of the program on their lives, their education and their families. Here are some of them.
Mary’s story
“I am Mary and I study at St Francis Rangala Girls.”
Thanks to the support of Sunflower Foundation, Mary continued her secondary education and moved up to Form 2 in 2025.
Uniforms that build confidence
Videos like this one show ROF’s impact on the educational advancement of boys and girls in rural Kenya. They share stories from our School Uniform Distribution Program, which supports a smooth transition from middle to high school for every needy student.
Through our beneficiaries’ testimonials, we hope to raise awareness of how much proper school uniforms matter. When students feel comfortable, confident and equal, they can excel both academically and socially.

Kezia Patience
Dream: journalistKezia has been in our scholarship program since pre-school. Last year she moved on from Akili Preparatory boarding school to Friends School Tigoi Girls, and she is overjoyed to be in a high school boarding school, knowing her parents no longer need to worry about her fees.
“The scholarship has helped me in so many ways. It has enabled my parents to worry less about my school fees. I come from a background where both my parents are poor. The organization has supported me and I’m proud because of them I am also in a high school boarding school. I’m grateful and may God shower them with blessings.”
“My dream career is to be a journalist. What I love about our school is that it is a God-fearing school and academics is always the theme of the day. My best subjects are English and Kiswahili, because of the responsible and hardworking teachers who teach them.”
We will continue supporting Kezia so she can achieve her dream of becoming a journalist.
